Delta Doubletalk
I received a promotional flyer today from my favorite bankrupt airline.

This pitch provides conclusive evidence that the marketing staff has been mating with the attorneys!
It begins like this:
Easier to Use - Finding your way around delta.com has never been easier. Simply click where you want to go and you're on your way.
I think this means that their Web site isn't the byzantine mess it used to be.
Low Fare Promise* - You can find Delta's lowest fares on delta.com.
The asterisk refers to small print that reads:
*Low Fare Promise means the lowest fare published on delta.com at the time of inquiry. All fares subject to change.
OK, so the fare on the Web site is the fare on the Web site. That should be an easy promise to keep.
Risk-Free Cancellation** - If you change your mind or find a lower fare, you can cancel certain tickets for a full refund.
That sounds fine. However, we again must consider the fine print:
Cancellation request must be made by midnight the first day of travel or midnight the day after the purchase is made, whichever comes first.
In other words, if you don't cancel within the first 24 hours after you buy the tickets, all of the standard hassles apply.
C'mon Delta. You don't just insult our intelligence. Your own is very much in question.
